Gord Downie, Sylvia Maracle among 30 being celebrated for care on Indigenous issues

Gord Downie and inland romantic Sylvia Maracle are to be allocated to a Order of Canada today.

Maracle will be named an officer of a Order of Canada and Downie will be named a member.

They are among 30 recipients to be celebrated for care in ancillary inland issues, including National Hockey League actor Jordin Tootoo, who will accept a commendable use award in a polite division.
