Canadiens send Nathan Beaulieu to Sabres forward of trade freeze

The Montreal Canadiens traded defenceman Nathan Beaulieu to a Buffalo Sabres on Saturday in sell for a third-round collect in a 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

Beaulieu had 28 points (4-24) in 74 games final season.

He combined one support in 5 playoff games.

The 24-year-old Strathroy, Ont., local was drafted by a Canadiens in 2011 with a 17th altogether pick.

In 225 career regular-season games, Beaulieu has 60 points (7-53) and 152 chastisement minutes.
